Dive into your happy place and make art in good company!!

Hi, I'm Tania and like you, I'm no stranger to the fact that life can hand us some rather unhappy circumstances sometimes.  Sadly, I'm not qualified to help you with that.  What I can help you with is to combat whatever is bothering you with the ability to make things that put a smile back on your face!

There is altogether too much sadness in the world, and you never know when the next delivery might be, so my philosophy is to grab happiness wherever possible.  For me, making art on a daily basis does the trick!  My secret is to spend my days make things, things that are bright, colourful and

not too serious...irreverent things! 

 

Art has long been known to be therapeutic.  Now, I'm far too down to earth to start evangelising about the healing powers of art, but I have learned first hand that creating things can offer a powerful means to shift focus away from relentless nastiness.  Doing something with your hands can engage your thoughts in practical problem solving rather than navel gazing, allowing your background programmes to unravel your woe's subconsciously in a healthier way.   Plus you get to surround yourself with the results of your efforts -  life affirming art, something that you have achieved and that will keep on giving you pleasure! 

 

Why do people make art? 

For me, the purpose is to stay grounded, retain a sense of humour and remember how to have fun!

You'll be able to talk to fellow makers in the forum so that together we can hopefully overcome any problems creative or otherwise as a hive mind plus make lots of new friends!  I'll also share more about painting with personality and you will have access to a library of general wisdoms from my 30 year experience as a practicing artist to help you sell your work if that is your objective.
