Platform & Function Exhibition, Clitheroe

Updated: Apr 1, 2023

I am delighted to have been asked to exhibit in Platform and Function Exhibition at Platform Gallery in Clitheroe this year.

The springtime exhibition runs from 16th January 2023 – 25th March 2023 and "aims to celebrate and showcase the best of British making, providing inspirational work to their discerning client base".

The gallery is a dynamic space for contemporary craft with a gallery, shop and new project space combined with the areas visitors information centre. The venue is run by Ribble Valley Borough Council who have kindly awarded me this prize as a selected maker from British Craft Trade Fair.

It has been difficult for me to decide what would be the best to do next given the difficult times we are moving through so I am very pleased to be given this opportunity and it represents a brilliant start to the year! I was able to drop the pieces I have created for the exhibition off in person and can report the gallery is situated in a lovely spot and looks bright and airy and well worth a visit!

Update (April 1st): The show has now come to an end and I have had some excellent sales - to quote the gallery "there's not very much left"! And so I am very pleased to have been asked to stock the gallery with my work for the forseeable future! This is not an April Fool and I am just waiting to hear what pieces they would like me to send along! Make sure you stop off for a look if you are in the area!

If you are interested to see where else I have exhibited or where else you can see my work there is a full list of my past shows and events here and a list of my current shops and galleries here (with work subject to availability).
